from Sports By Brooks: On SportsCenter last night, ESPN’s Michael Smith reported there would be significant financial penalties for the Cowboys to cut Owens as much of his 4-year, $34 million contract signed less than a year ago is guaranteed cash. We hope this means Owens will continue to have at least twenty million reasons to come back to camp this summer.

Latreasa L. Goodman of Ft. Pierce, FL had a problem. Her local McDonald's was out of McNuggets. She's already paid for her 10 piece, but was told she couldn't have it. Eat a Big Mac, McDouble or (God forbid) Filet O' Fish instead? No way! Goodman wanted her McNuggets, she was entitled to her McNuggets and, darn it, someone was going to get her one!

Few, however, have taken it so far as candy maker Skittles, which replaced its entire homepage with its Twitter stream. The only thing that’s left is a widget-like navigation console in the upper left part of the screen, but lo and behold: instead of pointing you to some company PR nonsense, it sends you to the Skittles entry on other popular social destinations: Wikipedia, YouTube, Flickr.

from Yahoo! Finance: A staggering $61.7 billion in quarterly losses at insurer American International Group Inc. touched off fresh fears about the health of the nation's financial system. The worries pushed the blue chips below 7,000 for the first time since Oct. 28, 1997 and then below 6,900 for the first time since May 1, 1997.
